Starting implementation of Output 1 of the Foreign Development Cooperation Project “Serbia - Supporting the Improvement and Development of the Quality Infrastructure Sector in Serbia“ under the “Aid for Trade“ programme

On 1 February 2019, a seminar „Principles of involvement in the European, international and national standardization activities“ organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Office for Standards, Metrology and Testing (ÚNMZ) and Serbian Institute for Standardization (ISS) was held in representative premises of the Czech Embassy in Belgrade. The event took place under the financial support of the Czech Republic within the framework of the project "Support for Improvement and Development of the Quality Infrastructure Sector in Serbia" - the program "Aid for Trade", realized by the ÚNMZ. This was the professional activity of project Output 1 aimed at increasing the professional capacities of ISS staff and members of national technical standardization committees, in particular in relation to participation in the process of European standardization.

The seminar was attended by more than 120 members of the national technical standardization committees which represented all relevant stakeholders, representatives of the national standardization body ISS, and Czech experts from the ÚNMZ and the Czech Agency for Standardization (ČAS). The seminar, as the first of the project activities, was launched by Tomáš Kuchta, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Belgrade. During the seminar, the Czech experts presented their knowledge and experience in the field of management of national standardization activities and introduced principles of the involvement in the activities of European and international standardization organizations.
